Ashley Tisdale and Maui

Losing a dog is incredibly painful. It launches a difficult journey of grief. One celebrity is traveling through this loss in a very public way. Ashely Tisdale’s dog, Maui, recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She chronicled her loss on her social media account. Ashley wrote a long dedication to her self-described soulmate.

Eternal Love

In a ten photo gallery, Ashley wrote about her tremendously painful loss. She said,

I don’t even know how to say this. This pain is the worst pain I’ve ever felt. Maui was my soulmate, the connection was unlike any other. She didn’t care who I was and what I did, she just loved me unconditionally.

This Is What You Must Know About The Rainbow Bridge

The posts included images of Maui the Maltipoo with Ashely and her husband Christopher French. Also, there are videos of Maui meeting Santa Claus and the sweet dog running around.

We can relate to the sorrow Ashley felt. She described the loss this way:

[Maui] had the purest soul. I know dogs don’t live as long as we do but why not? … I wasn’t ready for this and now I’m broken.

A few weeks prior to Maui’s passing, Ashley shared a photo saying that Maui was ill, and she had been treated at a nearby hospital. Only days later sweet Maui was gone.

In another post, Ashley wrote about her resolve to move forward. She said:

One day at a time. Just breathe. Back to work today and although I’m dying inside Maui would want me to keep going. In these moments she’s giving me the strength to push through. It’s hard, every single second of every hour but i want to make her proud.

Any loss hurts tremendously. We wish Ashley and her husband peace in their time of mourning.
