I do add veggies, pumpkin and supplements, and while some people might disagree with me, I add a very small amount of oatmeal or brown rice. They’ve been doing great for many years! My dog is having severe issues right now and can only eat Hills gastrointestinal biome dog food. If she eats anything else she’ll stop eating and start getting diarrhea with blood in it. Only other thing she can eat is homemade food. Boiled chicken, rice, sweet potatoes, and carrots. We’ve had all the blood tests and x-rays and nobody can figure out why. I’ve tried two other dog foods but I just can’t put her through it to try another.
